I am an Intervention Specialist for the Miami Valley Autism Coaching Team in Dayton, Ohio. Working with children with disabilities, especially autism, is a passion of mine. I enjoy going out to classrooms and meeting teachers and students and sharing my knowledge of evidence-based practices to help students learn and grow. Previously I taught in a K-4 self-contained classroom for children with multiple disabilities, was a site lead for a special needs summer camp for campers ages 5-22, and provided in-home ABA therapy and tutoring.
As I promised on Saturday's Sensory Folders post today's freebie is the print materials needed for creating your own sensory folders. All you need is two file folders and some velcro and you are all set! I used a calming color (blue) for the calming folder and an alerting color (yellow) for our altering folder.
If you want more icons I recommend using Stickids. They have great color-coded sensory processing icons.
